Our Sliding Sash – Spiral Balance windows within the contemporary range have unique Inline Balance technology and hidden trickle vents that make these windows sleek and smooth to operate. The Sliding Sash – Cords & Weights range is a fashionable and practical solution for properties that have very large sash openings or where conservation requirements dictate a traditional sash window design. They are operated by a highly functional pulley and weight system that gives these contemporary-style sash windows a lovely period edge. They are perfect for traditional properties with a sleek, modern personality.

The Spiral Balance Sliding Sash windows from our traditional window range maintain the aesthetic features of traditional sliding sash windows while incorporating all the modern security and weather-proofing features you would expect in modern-day windows. They have the same Inline Balance opening features and concealed trickle vent as the contemporary range, as well as Ovolo mouldings and exclusive external horn detail that gives any home a timelessly elegant look.

Our Cords & Weights Sliding Sash traditional collection provides an authentic design that creates a beautiful period façade on any property. This sash window design possesses a traditional pulley and weights system to open and close the window, with secure and weather-tight fittings and frame to bring you peace of mind. The bespoke treatments, fittings, and mouldings make these windows the most superior large sash windows for conservation requirements or period homes on the market.

Sash Windows – Heritage Range

Our heritage range is exclusively for listed properties with strict conservation needs. The windows within this range are purpose built for the most sensitive of architectural projects or where typical double glazing is not possible. Although our aim is to create beautifully bespoke heritage windows, we also ensure that security and weather protection are maximised in a very modern way.

The sash windows in this range have 4mm thick single glazing or 14mm extra slimline double glazing with traditional Lamb's Tongue fittings and design. The Sliding Sash heritage windows have super-slim frames that won't project into the room, thus conserving the fine style and design of authentic sash windows and period interiors.

Specifications

All of our sash windows are made from 100% FSC engineered timber and Softcoat Low-E argon double glazing, except our heritage range which comes in custom single glazing options too. Our window products at ThomasDeco are all factory finished and wrought with a superior 4 stage treatment process in either paint or stain to ensure the highest quality and most stylish bespoke windows possible. Our entire window range is completely safe; our windows are certified to BS7950 and PAS 23/24 levels. All laminated safety glass is kite-marked and thoroughly weather tested to ensure high performance and weather protection.

Treatments

Your sash windows can be built from Redwood, Dark Red Meranti, and Solid Oak. Once you have chosen the type of laminated wood you desire, there is the option to paint or stain the window frames based on your own tastes and colour scheme. Paint treatments are available in bold colours as well as more subtle, neutral colours to make your home stand out from the crowd. Dual paint options and 55% high gloss finishes are available on all window finishes.

If you want a more organic look, then a window stain may be more suitable. Our stains provide a tastefully smooth, glossy, and natural finish.

All sash windows undergo a 4 stage treatment process that involves protecting the wood against rot or fungus, sealing in colour or stain, and a final lick of paint or stain to ensure quality and beauty is preserved on every window.

Glazing

Our windows contain only the strongest laminated glass with unique lead designs, mouldings, edgings, and bar designs that create a sleek, stand-out, or traditional look for your exteriors and interiors.

We provide custom glazing options for every window requirement – bevelled glass, anti-sun glass, stained glass and much more. There are also various privacy levels and unique patterns on our glazing.
